Left Ixtapa marina, now anchored Ixtapa Isla NW beach – Lat 17 40.785N, Long 101 39.329W . Beautiful full moon. Fuel tanks, water tanks and batteries full. Plan on 0330 departure for Calla de Campos.
Oven mercury switch and thermostat broke. Sealed main burner and pilot ports at thermostat with co-ax weather-proofing. Also sealed thermostat input at manifold. Tested.. holds pressure with all burners off. Oven will not work (ever).
In Port Zihuatenajo – Started completing repairs list for a planned departure 2/27 northward. Painted windlass motor.
0900 – Preparing for first race. 2 passengers scheduled, Clair and Bob. Looks like another beautiful day.
0800 – Preparing for Sail Fest parade. After I do Net Control , we’ll pick up 3 passengers – Roger & Meg Jones and Bridgette and motor sail to Ixtapa and back.
1730 – Anchored. Lovely day, saw dolphins, rendered Honors to Capitana del Puerto ( whistle a good idea, adds “snazz”) Passengers were a touch queasy, but conditions were near perfect.
20:00 Anchor down in Z-town Lat 17 38N, Long 101 33W
Bit rolly, may re-position when we have daylight. Total time was 37 hours
( Feb 3 + 4 – two days of yukky rain)
07:00 Preparing to get underway to Zihuatenajo
After 4 days in Las Hadas, it is time for the final leg to Zihuatenajo. Water, fuel, battery all full. Departure planned for 8AM
10:30 Water Hi Temp alarm sounded. Inspection revealed pump pulley failed (separated from shaft) Sailing back to Hadas.

Tenecatita Bay – Quiet waters, dolphins, about a dozen cruising boats at the Las Iguanas anchorage. 9AM Chan 22 cruisers net Will try for jungle dinghy trip this afternoon. Flies – no mosquitoes yet. Possible thunderstorms next few days. TelCel coverage.
